As two close friends with a passion for media and a drive to use it as a tool for social change, Abdulai Barrie and Abu Bakarr Gibril were inspired by the stories of their peers in Sierra Leone and the power media holds to shape public opinion and bring about change.
Abdulai, with his creative mind, and Abu with his background in business, teamed up to build Creative Media Network (CMN) - a multimedia company with the mission of empowering young people to share their stories through various forms of art, entertainment, and media.
Our journey started with thorough market research and an analysis of the media industry in Sierra Leone. We saw a need for high-quality original content and media training among young people, and used this insight to create a comprehensive business plan for CMN, using our own resources.
With our startup capital in place, we brought together a talented team of designers, developers, and filmmakers to offer a range of services including documentary production, media training, website design, and online streaming of original content.
Today, CMN is a thriving multimedia company that continues to inspire young people and drive positive change through media. With both of us at the helm, we are confident in our company's continued success and growth, and look forward to leaving a lasting impact on the industry and the world.
